The cast and crew of Syfy series “12 Monkeys” is currently shooting Season 3. While most Americans were busy enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday and the following weekend, some of the time-traveling TV show’s cast and crew were busying filming for brand new episodes that will air in 2017.

Kirk Acevedo, who plays Jose Ramse in “12 Monkeys,” shared a photo of his fried chicken breast meal that he devoured during Thanksgiving on his Twitter account. The 45-year-old actor shared the meal with co-creator, showrunner and executive producer of the series, Terry Matalas. The duo worked in Toronto, Canada during the holiday.

Matalas retweeted Acevedo’s tweet. He also shared a photo of Ramse and James Cole (Aaron Stanford) from a scene in Season 3. The creator also emphasized that some of the cast and crew were working on Thanksgiving.

Although many “12 Monkeys” fans don’t know this, but Acevedo celebrated his 45th birthday on Sunday, Nov. 27. The “Band Of Brothers” star shared a photo on his Instagram account in which he wore a sparkly crown. He captioned the photo, “Birthday look.”

Meanwhile, Matalas continued to share three new photos of Season 3 despite a fan urging him to stop posting them since it revealed spoilers. Besides Rame and Cole’s picture above, the showrunner has shared a photo of a hooded figure clothed in black and another in which Jennifer Goines (Emily Hampshire) is in what seems to be a battlefield in the 1910s. It could possibly be a photo of her navigating France in 1917. Last season, she accidentally splintered to that era after finding Titan.

Season 2 revealed the identity of the Witness: he/she is Cassie (Amanda Schull) and Cole’s unborn child. Cassie was taken hostage by the Army of the 12 Monkeys to 2163 where she is destined to give birth to her child in Titan.

“12 Monkeys” returns with Season 3 sometime in 2017.
