The 2014 World's Ugliest Dog Contest was held Saturday in Petaluma, California. There was no shortage of qualified competitors.
Peanut, a 2-year-old mutt who spent nine months at a pound before being picked up by Holly Chandler of Greenville, North Carolina, was crowned winner. Peanut was badly burned as a puppy and Chandler hopes Peanut can raise awareness about animal abuse. She says she'll use the $1,500 prize money to pay veterinary bills for other animals.
