As the date for the 2015 Video Music Awards (VMAs) is approaching, MTV has released the names of six more artists who will join host Miley Cyrus on the stage for their performances. The music channel has confirmed rapper Kanye West and singer Demi Lovato as their confirmed performers for the award night on Sunday.

MTV has also revealed that Tori Kelly, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Twenty One Pilots with A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams will perform at the musical night. The channel will announce the names of two other performers by Thursday.

Previously announced confirmed acts include The Weeknd, while there is speculation in the media that Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar are also expected to perform at the event. However, MTV is yet to confirm about these artists.

Earlier this week, Swift announced via Instagram that she will premiere her "Wildest Dreams" music video at the MTV VMA. “Wildest Dreams music video preview. VMA night. Get ready. #WildestDreamsMusicVideo,” she wrote on Instagram.

Other highlights of the show include West receiving the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. At Sunday’s award ceremony, the “Yeezus” rapper will be honored with the award for his contributions to the art of the music video. By receiving the prestigious award, West joins a list of great musicians like David Bowie, Madonna, Beastie Boys and Justin Timberlake.

Previous years' recipients of the award include Beyonce (2014) and Timberlake (2013.) Queen Bey gave a stunning performance on stage at last year's VMAs. She was joined by her husband, Jay Z, and their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter on stage when she collected her Video Vanguard Award.

MTV has also announced a list of nominees for various categories of the award. This year's award show will see Beyonce and Swift compete against each other for awards, including Video of the Year, Best Female Video, and Best Pop Video. The 32nd MTV VMAs will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, Aug. 30.
