50 Cent-Rick Ross Feud: ‘Power’ Star Accuses Rapper Of Buying His Own ‘Black Market’ Album To Boost Sales
Rapper/actor 50 Cent is still publicly bashing Rick Ross. The pair's feud started last month, but in recent weeks seemed to have fizzled out. That was until 50 Cent interrupted a radio interview recently to slam Ross' "Black Market" album.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, 50 Cent stopped by radio show "This Is 50" to talk about his newly released mixtape "The Kanan." During the middle of the interview, the "Power" actor pulled out his cell phone and started to look up how many copies of "Black Market" were sold in its first week.
As of Wednesday, Ross' album had sold a reported 34,000 copies, while 50 Cent's 2014 album "Animal Ambition" sold 47,000 units.
"Is that a rock or a brick? And you know they went and bought some," 50 Cent said. "He went and bought some."
The "9 Shots" rapper went on to say that he thinks Ross and his label Maybach Music Group (MMG) purchased about 15,000 copies of "Black Market” to help boost sales.
"Anybody would have panicked," he said.
As previously reported, 50 Cent and Ross' beef started after the former posted an Instagram photo of Ross on a cheap T-shirt. 50 Cent eventually deleted the post, but Ross had already retaliated by slamming the rapper for filing for bankruptcy protection.
Besides feuding with Ross, 50 Cent also had a war of words with his ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox after she insinuated he was gay. The rapper also dissed Diddy saying that no one listens to his "MMM" album.
