Since sharing the story of their romance on TLC, “90 Day Fiancé” Season 5 stars David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan have been met with a bunch of criticism in regards to their relationship. After the airing of a recent episode, David’s daughter, Ashley Toborowsky, revealed that she has been struggling to accept her father’s choice of lifestyle.

Following Ashley’s appearance on “90 Day Fiancé” Season 5, in which she told Annie about David’s past of cheating on her mother and being a deadbeat dad, the 28-year-old did an interview on “Auntie’s Advice.” During her chat, Ashley reflected on her relationship with her father and shared her thoughts about his partner.

Ashley told the host that she isn’t close to David even though he has expressed his desire to be in his kids’ lives on the show. “He might say he wants to be back with his kids but that’s not the truth,” she said.

“He’s been a very selfish person his whole life. Yes, he loves his children, but does he want to be responsible for people? No, he doesn’t want to be responsible for people. He wants to do what David wants to do.”

Although Ashley has her qualms about her father, she had nothing but praise when it comes to his best friend, Chris, who appeared on the series. Earlier in the season, Chris and his wife Nikki allowed David and Annie to stay in their home.

Following their appearance, the couple fueled rumors that the show was scripted after Chris was criticized for asking Annie for a massage as payment for letting the couple board in his home.

“They’re nice people. I know that Chris has definitely helped my dad a lot. Chris has definitely opened up his heart and his arms to Dad. Like I said they’ve been best friends. He watched my Dad go through the divorce with my Mom. Nikki, I don’t really know much about her. I’ve only seen her on the show and that was it,” Ashley said during the interview.

While the woman is in full support of her father’s friend, she admitted that she thinks the age difference between Annie, 24, and David, 48, is “ridiculous.” She also confessed that she doesn’t know much about the woman in her father’s life.

“She’s nice. You know she doesn’t speak to us really. She’s dad’s wife, girlfriend, fiancé. Whatever you want to call her,” Ashley stated.

Even though Ashley has made it clear that she has her doubts about the romance, there are still several episodes left before David and Annie actually confirm their fate. For now, fans can tune into “90 Day Fiancé” Season 5 when it airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
