“American Horror Story” is about to kick off "Coven," a third anthology season, on FX Wednesday, and the new opening-credits sequence has been revealed. Fans have been eagerly waiting the return of the witch-themed show's new season, which will star A-list actors Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates and “AHS” favorite Jessica Lange.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote co-creator Ryan Murphy posted the beginning credits on Twitter Wednesday. Murphy explained how important the opening credits can be for a show, and what attracted him to it. "I've always been obsessed with main titles, I really feel like it's an art form," THR quoted Murphy. "It tells you what the viewing experience ahead is going to be."

Earlier, he had said the new credits will reveal a main hint as to how the 13-episode anthology will end. But it’s not as easy as just watching the clip one or two times. “You have to watch it 10 times because every frame is a clue for what the season will be," Murphy said, as reported by THR. "And every year it has a different tone, look and concept. By the last frame of the main title for Coven, you'll really have an idea of what the last frame of the Coven season will be."

He added viewers will be able to expect what will happen in the final episode of the “Coven” season based on the last frame of the opening sequence. “AHS” season 1 and two proved to be drastically different from one another, except for having some of the same actors, and “Coven” is promising to live up to the same standard with its witch theme.

It will bring back Sarah Paulson, Denis O'Hare, Frances Conroy, Zachary Quinto, Taissa Farmiga, Evan Peter and Lily Rabe for its Oct. 9 premiere, but also include, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Danny Huston and Patti LuPone.
