Anna Duggar Tried For Baby No. 5 Before Planning Divorce From Josh Duggar, Says Report

Anna and Josh Duggar’s marriage may soon be over. A new report claims the mother of four is looking to divorce her troubled husband of eight years following his numerous scandals and their alleged failed attempt to try for a fifth child.

In the Nov. 14 edition of In Touch Weekly, an insider reportedly close to Anna reveals she is just weeks away from seeking the help of a divorce lawyer she she can “rid herself of Josh.” Seven months after Josh returned home from treatment after admitting to be unfaithful and having a pornography addiction, the publication shares Anna, who previously confirmed she is in counseling, has found strength from her friends outside of the Duggar family to end her marriage.

“They were horrified that she’d been persuaded to talk on-camera about Josh and then wheeled out with children, looking like everything was fine,” the insider said of Anna’s friends’ reaction to her appearances on the family’s TLC series “Counting On” following Josh’s scandals, which also included the reveal in May 2015 that he sexually molested several female minors as a teen.

“Hearing those outside views changed Anna incredibly,” the source added. “She now agrees and feels angry that Josh has treated her so appallingly for so long.”

Though things weren’t not always bad for Anna and Josh. The magazine reports the couple tried for a fifth child following his return from rehabilitation in March, but baby No. 5 just didn’t come. Anna is said to have taken it “as a sign from God that she should not have another child with Josh.”

The Duggar family has yet to address the divorce rumors. The expansive brood last updated fans Friday with Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar wishing their daughter Jessa Seewald a happy 24th birthday.

“Jessa Blessa, you are a blessing to us,” the couple wrote on Facebook. “You went from being a high energy fun loving child, to a fun loving, responsible, mature, visionary, virtuous wife and mother. You have inspired thousands of young ladies to seek God, to wait for the one God has for them, and set an example how to dress modern, but modest. May God continue to bless your pregnancy, marriage and family.”

The family followed up the birthday post with an inspirational quote, which some fans speculated may have been an indirect response to the rumors surrounding Anna and Josh.

Fortunately for fans, it appears not all of relationships in the Duggar brood are suffering. Jill and Derick Dillard recently discussed their desire to add a second child to their family, Jessa and Ben Seewald just celebrated their second wedding anniversary and there’s another married couple on the horizon. All signs point to Jim Bob and Michelle’s daughter Jinger Duggar marrying Jeremy Vuolo on Saturday in Arkansas.
