Apollo Nida is opening up for the first time since being sentenced to more than seven years in prison for fraud. Earlier this month, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member was sentenced in Atlanta after pleading guilty in May to stealing people’s identities to apply for loans and create more than 40 fraudulent bank accounts.

When asked about his relationship with wife Phaedra Parks, he did not sound hopeful.

During a radio interview with BE100’s STFU, Nida was asked if his relationship was going to make it through this. He hesitated before saying, “Uhhh ... I doubt it. I mean my wife didn’t even show up for my sentencing so I’m still salty about that, but you know, whatever.”

An investigation into Nida's business dealings began in February 2012, and he was subsequently charged by federal authorities with bank fraud and identity theft. In May, while in court, Nida said he takes "full responsibility" for his actions, and admitted, "It was a dumb situation I put myself in."

Since then, Parks has claimed that the couple will not file for divorce. Parks spoke with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens: Live” shortly after Nida’s sentencing. While she did not specifically address her husband's case, Parks did note that Nida will be filing an appeal. When asked if they were filing for divorce, she replied, “No, I have not filed for divorce. I am still very married -- check out the ring. So no, I have not filed for divorce.”

Asked if this has been a tough time for the couple, Parks replied, “It is. ... But we are where we are, and you know, we’ll support him. We are family. He’s the father of my two beautiful kids, and you know at the end of the day I am a Southern belle and I believe in family and I will support him until this is resolved.”

But what "resolved" means is anybody's guess. Based on what Nida said, it may mean divorce.
