Apple iPad Air 3 Rumors Suggest Release Imminent, Specifications And Features Surface

The Apple iPad Air 3 is one of the most anticipated Apple products at the moment. Fresh speculations are indicating that the iPad Air 3 release date is drawing near.

The iPad Air 2 was massively discounted on Black Friday and Cyber 2015 sales. Several retailers have slashed the price of the iPad Air 2 by $150 from its normal price tag. Since the older tablet was made available with irresistible discounts, the rumor mill is indicating that the iPad Air 3 release date is soon approaching, Christian Today reported.

In this year, Apple announced its largest ever tablet, the iPad Pro. During the launch event it also announced the iPad Mini 4 tablet, but refrained from revealing any information on the iPad Air 3. Hence, rumors are rife the iPad Air 3 will be releasing early in 2016.

Other rumors are hinting that the iPad Air 3 will be released by March 2016. Apple is expected to hold a launch event in March to announce a new edition of MacBook Retina. The Cupertino giant is expected to use the same platform to announce the iPad Air 3. Another reason behind the early release of iPad Air 3 is that the newly launched iPad Mini 4 deliver performance that iPad Air 2 produces.

As far as the purported specs and features of the iPad Air 3 is concerned, the tablet is expected to arrive with 9.7-inch display. The tablet is rumored to be powered by Apple A9X SoC, the same SoC that powers the Apple iPad Pro.

The rear camera of the iPad Air 3 will be of 8-megapixel. Like the predecessor model, the iPad Air 3 will be featuring a fingerprint scanner. Speculations claim that the iPad Air 3 will be launched with a price tag of $610.
