Strauss-Kahn's long, well-documented history of womanizing
Dominque Strauss-Kahn’s history womanizing is well-known. However, the media scrutiny following his arrest unearthed allegations that some of his past activities were exremely inappropriate.
Soon after his arrest in New York, French journalist Tristane Banon pressed charges against the IMF chief for allegedly attempting to rape her.
In the alleged attempted rape, Strauss-Kahn unbuttoned her bra and tried to unzip her jeans. While they fought on the floor, she kicked him and screamed rape to scare him, to no avail. She was ultimately able to fight him off and escape.
Then there is the account of Piroska Nagy, who alleged that Strauss-Kahn abused his position of power at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) during their relationship.
“He summoned me on several occasions and came to make inappropriate suggestions to me… it is, in my view, incontestable that Mr. Strauss-Kahn made use of his position to obtain access to me,” she said.
Kristin Davis, who ran a escort service in New York, came out and said Strauss-Kahn employed the service of her agency in 2006, reported the Daily Telegraph.
Moreover, the escorts assigned to him complained about his “aggressive,” “rough,” and “angry” behavior.
Carmen Llera, a Spanish author, published poetry that described a previous lover of hers as sadistic in bed. Italian newspapers said that lover was Strauss-Kahn, reported Reuters.
When Strauss-Kahn was a lecturer at French university Sciences Po, one female student said he gave a “diabolic and severe” look to female students sitting in the front row.
It wasn't at all pleasant, and not like a professor, she said.
