Lady Gaga shined in Italy this weekend wearing a complex, full skirted Gianni Versace creation that morphed into a black, floor lenght mermaid dress. Lady Gaga was in Rome to perform at a gay rights concert.

Gaga has always been vocal about her support of gay rights, frequently appearing at gay rights events and speaking out against discrimination. Gaga was one of the leaders in the fight against Don't Ask Don't Tell, which was repealed several months ago.

It was no surprise that Gaga was in Gianni Versace. She told a German T.V. station last week that she would only wear Versace for the next two months because she was having a love affair with Donatella, Versace's designer. Gaga was in Germany to appear and perform on Germany's Next Top Model, where she ruled the runway in a long, textured white mermaid dress made of tulle.

Lady Gaga's latest album, Born This Way which sold over 1 million copies in its first week has dropped in sales, selling only 174,000 in week two. Industry experts blame it on the Amazon promotion where it sold the album for only $0.99 causing first week sales to inflate.
