Ryan Dunn Death: Westboro Church to Protest Funeral Service
The extremist Westboro Baptist Church, also known as WBC, in Topeka, Kansas, released a flyer on Tuesday stating that its members will protest any memorial service held for daredevil, actor and reality TV star Ryan Dunn.
“WBC will picket any public memorial/funeral held for Dunn, warning all not to make a mock of sin, & to fear & obey God,” the notorious Westboro Baptist Church said in the press release with headline stating: Ryan Dunn is in hell!
The WBC’s objection to Dunn was that he was a “drab pervert who hawked porn-level filth to get rich from a perverse generation.”
The church calls specific attention to the Jackass stunt when Dunn put a toy car inside a condom and inserted it into his rectum and then visited a doctor and complained of pain. The doctor took x-rays and of course discovered the toy car.
The WBC is an independent Baptist church known for its extreme stance against homosexuality and its protest activities, which include picketing funerals and desecrating the American flag. The group has been denounced as radical by many Christian organizations.
Ryan Dunn died at approximately 3.a.m. on June 20 morning in West Goshen, Pennsylvania, after his 2007 Porshe 911 GT3 skidded off the road, hit a tree and burn in flames. The accident killed Dunn and a co-passenger who has been identified as Zachary Hartwell.
The autopsy results revealed that the daredevil star passed away due to blunt force from impact and thermal trauma when flames engulfed his Porsche. Both Dunn and his passenger were dead before ambulances arrived.
His car was capable of reaching 190 mile per hour and the accident was surmised to have been caused by high speed. Shortly before the accident, Dunn posted a photo to his Twitter account at 1 a.m. which apparently showed him drinking with friends.
Ryan Dunn was going 130 mph in his Porsche at the time of the crash that killed the Jackass star and his passenger, according to the West Goshen police.
The speed limit on the stretch of Pennslyvania's Route 322 where the crash took place is 55 MPH.
I've never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was even before it caught on fire, West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll told RadarOnline. The automobile actually came apart. It was unbelievable and I've been on a lot of fatal accident scenes. This is by far the worse I've ever seen.
Dunn was famous for his willingness to be harmed for the sake of entertainment and fun. He starred in three TV shows - Jackass, Viva la Bam, and Homewrecker, all of which showcased his penchant for peril.
