Two people were killed and 13 were injured when three hidden roadside bombs exploded in southern Thailand on Friday.

Police said two irrigation workers were killed and five others were wounded when the first bomb exploded in Narathiwat province, while another bomb about 1 kilometer (one-half mile) away wounded a soldier, msn reported.

While the bomb removal officers tried to defuse the third bomb, which was plant just three meters away from the second one, it burst in front of them, wounding seven policemen.

Below is the incredible sequence of pictures that captured the moment when the third bomb exploded. The images show a bomb disposal expert standing to the left of the car as it is ripped apart in the blast. The man was hurt in the blast, but there are no further details of his injuries.
