LAS VEGAS - Polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs has been released from a Las Vegas hospital, one day after he was found weak and feverish in his Arizona jail cell.

Las Vegas police Officer Jose Montoya says the 52-year-old was released Wednesday from the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. He was transferred there Tuesday after he was found shaking and running a fever in his cell in Kingman, Ariz.
It wasn't immediately clear where Jeffs would be transferred.
Jeffs is president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The church is an insular sect that practices polygamy in arranged marriages that sometimes involve underage girls.
Jeffs is charged in Arizona as an accomplice with four counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
