Yet another royal wedding took place in Asia Tuesday, a week after the young king of Bhutan married his bride.
It was the wedding of the daughter of the monarch of the historic Yogyakarta Sultanate in Indonesia. Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Bendara, the youngest daughter of Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, married Kanjeng Pangeran Haryo Yudanegara at the palace in Yogyakarta, Java.
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and many Indonesian monarchs attended the ceremony.
The ritual stretched over three days, from the traditional cleansing ritual of the bride and groom to exchanging vows. Have a look at some of the pictures from the Yogyakarta royal wedding below:
