Miranda Kerr, or rather her girls, has been selected to wear Victoria's Secret limited edition bejeweled bra, though she is not the first model to wear the some-odd-million dollar Fantasy Bra.

Initially only showcased in Victoria's Secret catalogs, the Fantasy Bra has made its way to the runway for the annual Victoria's Secret Angels fashion show since 2001, when Heidi Klum donned the $12.5 million Heavenly Star Bra.

The bra, which is marketed as the ultimate holiday gift by parent company, Limited Brands Inc., has never sold since 1996 when the concept was first introduced, according to the Wall Street Journal. The 1996 Fantasy bra was worn by Claudia Schiffer and cost $1 million, the cheapest one ever.

This year's Fantasy Bra was designed by renowned London Jewelers with nearly 3,400 precious gems, 279 carats and a cost of $2.5 million.

It's such an honor to wear the bra, Kerr told People Magazine. And it's such a piece of artwork! It's absolutely stunning -- it kind of feels a little mermaid-like -- but I can't believe I'm wearing $2.5 million on my chest.

Heidi Klum has worn the VS Fantasy bra three times, while others like Adriama Lima, Tyra Banks, Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima have worn the year's design twice. The most expensive bra, costing $15 million, was worn by Gisele Bündchen in 2000.
