Jay-Z may have once lived a hard knock life, but he's no longer one of the 99 percent, says the Occupy Wall Street movement, whose spokesman called him a bloodsucker, according to NME.com.

Jay-Z's Rocawear clothing label announced earlier this month that it would be selling a new line of shirts bearing the slogan Occupy All Streets, in solidarity with the #OWS protest movement.

But a chorus of criticism grew after Roca told Businessinsider.com that proceeds from sales of the $22 shirt -- which Jay-Z has rocked himself -- would not be benefitting the movement. The company has since removed the shirts from its Web site.

The 'Occupy All Streets' T shirt was created in support of the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement. Rocawear strongly encourages all forms of constructive expression, whether it be artistic, political or social, the fashion company told the Web site in a statement. 'Occupy All Streets' is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street. At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement.

Patrick Bruner, the movement's spokesman, expressed displeasure with the company's efforts to profit from the occupiers, according to NME.

Naturally there will be some bloodsuckers who come out of the woodwork. We have a screen-printers guild on camp, and it's easy to find many other T-shirts that actually benefit the cause, Bruner said. In regards to the question, a much better way to show your support for Occupy Wall Street would be to show up and participate in this momentous occasion and help to shape a new and better future.
