Sony Ericsson LT22i Nypon Spec Leaked – What do They Say?
According to reports, details about a list of Sony smartphones, set to be launched in 2012, have been leaked. The information, which includes the prices and dates of arrival, was apparently leaked via a company sales report in India and could have some indication of strategies in other countries as well.
Smartphones like the Kumquat, the Nypon and the Pepper are apparently just a few of the devices ready to hit markets across the world in April, with prices set at €262, €370 and €308, respectively, according to the report on GSMArena. One of the models the report discusses is the Nypon.
Although the phone has yet to receive an official launch date or announcement, it is expected to be a 4.0-inch, 540x960 pixels device with LED-backlit LCD and capacitive touch-screen. A Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine and Timescape UI are also expected.
Although it is certain the device will run on the Android Operating System, the exact version is still unknown. Meanwhile, a dual-core CPU with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, as well as a NoveThor U8500 chipset is expected. The phone will have a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera, with a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus and LED flash, with Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama and image stabilization. It will be able to record videos of 1080p at 30fps, with continuous autofocus and video light. A secondary 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera with video capabilities of 720p is also expected.
WLAN features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR. There are reports suggesting the device will have Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities. A standard Li-lon 1320 mAh battery is also expected. Unfortunately, the device is unlikely to have an external memory slot.
