Apple iPhone 5 May Come with 4-Inch Display: Analyst
Technology giant Apple may finally increase the size of iPhone 5 display to 4-inch from the current 3.5-inch, according to a Wall Street analyst.
With respect to iPhone 5, we continue to estimate production to begin around June 2012 and believe this phone will feature a larger 4 screen, Susquehanna Financial analyst Chris Caso wrote in a note to clients.
Even the recently released iPhone 4S was speculated to have a screen size of 3.7 to 4-inch, but Apple stuck to its usual 3.5-inch screen.
Meanwhile, speculations are rife that iPhone 5 would sport a 3.7 to 4.0 inches Quantum Dot LED curved glass edge-to-edge display with features like scratch-resistant glass, aluminum plate casing, oleophobic coating, accelerometer, gyro and proximity sensor.
The analyst has increased his calendar first quarter production forecast for iPhone to 32.0 million to 36.5 million from 30.5 million to 35.5 million. Caso also expects Apple to produce 10 million to 14 million iPads in the first quarter.
