Bill Murray snapped a photo with K-Pop group Girls' Generation during Monday's episode of The Late Show with David Letterman. Since the show, the photo (below) has been making quite the splash on Twitter, Reddit and beyond, thanks to an AFP photographer's Twitter post.

Sporting a red-and-white football jersey, Murray, 61, was on hand to celebrate Letterman's 30th year of Late Night. Regis Philbin also got in on the football fun, showing up in a referee outfit.

After a few football moves outside the New York studio and a 30-candle cupcake celebration, the three gentlemen and the Late Show studio audience were treated to a performance from Girls' Generation, who made their US television debut with their single, The Boys.

That was lovely, thank you so much . . . look, the girls are here everybody, Letterman said after the performance, as he presented the group with a football.

Girls' Generation, also known as SNSD, has been on a week-long tour of New York, with appearances on Letterman, Live with Kelly! and MTV. The nine member all-girl group also performed at Madison Square Garden earlier this week.

Pinch me. We're like pinching each other. It's so surreal. It feels amazing to be here. Thank you, one member told MTV K.

Murray, meanwhile, has also been dominating Twitter feeds this week thanks to two words: Groundhog Day.
