Jyoti Amge, who shot to fame after being recognized as the world's shortest living woman recently, has been campaigning for the forthcoming municipal elections in Mumbai, India.
Amge was certified by the Guinness World Records as the shortest woman in the world with an average measurement of 24.39 inches (61.95 cm) on her 18th birthday in December 2011. Amge beat 22-year-old American Bridgette Jordan, who held the title of world's smallest woman, by 2.76 inches.
Amge is hailing from Nagpur in country's western state of Maharashtra. She said that she was glad that her height has put her city on the world map.
During her official recognition ceremony of being the shortest or smallest woman, Amge had expressed her wish to be an actor in Bollywood.
She is campaigning for the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena in the local polls. The Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation Election 2012 is scheduled to happen on Feb. 16 and the results will be announced the next day.
