Classic board games such as Monopoly, the Game of Life and Battleship will be getting a 21st century twist and a technological upgrade. Using enhanced zAPPed gaming, Hasbro is introduc a new way to game that merges Apple products and applications and the standard board games.

Knowing that families are more attached than ever to their mobile devices, we wanted to revolutionize face-to-face gaming with our world famous brands and our proprietary technology to create a unique gaming experience, said Eric Nyman, Global Brand Leader for Hasbro Gaming, in a statement.

By downloading the application onto the iPad, the players simply place the iPad onto the game board itself and begin playing. Lazer Tag also gets a technological upgrade. A mobile application will be available on the iPhone that syncs with the new game.
