Samsung Galaxy S3 May Not Be Released at MWC 2012 – List of Other Samsung Devices to Be Unveiled
Samsung may not be releasing Galaxy S3 at the Mobile Word Congress that will begin in Barcelona Feb 26.
However, the Korean electronics giant is expected to launch a lot of less-expensive devices which are targeted at the budget-minded buyers.
Here is a list of devices which Samsung might unveil at the MWC.
Galaxy Tab 11.6: According to rumors, Samsung is expected to release a 11.6-inch tablet with a 2560x1600-pixel display resolution.
Though not much information is available on the features of the tab, Galaxy Tab 11.6 is expected to pack a new 2Ghz Core Exynos 5250 dual processor. The latest tablet is expected to feature the 'pen-S.'
Galaxy Ace 2: Samsung will continue its flagship version of Galaxy Ace with its new Ace 2 device. Ace 2 will feature a 3.8-inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 pixels, Samsung's TouchWiz version 3.0 user interface, an 800MHz processor and 768 MB RAM.
The new Ace smartphone will run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and will sport a 5 megapixel front camera with 720p video capture capabilities and a second VGA shooter around front.
The phone will also have a digital music player, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot to expand the phone memory up to 32GB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB version 2.0, A-GPS support and GLONASS.
Samsung Ace 2 supports all four GSM bands plus HSDPA for data at the speed of 14.4 Mbps.
Galaxy Mini 2: Galaxy Mini 2 is another iteration of the existing Samsung Galaxy Mini. The phone will come with a dimension of 109.4 x 58.6 x 11.6 mm and will weigh 105.3 grams.
The phone will sport a 3.27-inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 320 pixels resolution. Like Ace 2, this phone will also feature 4 GB storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
Mini 2 will run on Android OS, 2.3 Gingerbread and will have 800 MHz processor, Adreno 200 GPU along with Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset, 512 MB RAM and a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery.
The phone will also sport a 3.15 MP back camera, but Samsung this time has not provided a front camera for video calling. For connectivity, Samsung has given Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot features.
Galaxy Ace Plus: Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus will come with a dimension of 114.5 x 62.5 x 11.2 mm and will weigh 115 grams. Ace Plus will sport a 3.65-inch display with 480 x 320 pixels resolutions and Samsung's TouchWiz UI.
Ace Plus will have internal storage of 3 GB that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. Ace Plus will sport a 5 MP rear-camera but no front camera for video chat.
The camera will have features like geo-tagging, face and smile detection.
The smartphone will run on Android Gingerbread and will have 1 GHz processor, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 chipset and 512 MB RAM. Samsung packs a Li-Ion 1300 mAh standard battery with Ace Plus.
Rumors are rife that Samsung might also launch Samsung Galaxy B, a smartphone with an edge-to-edge screen and a much faster version of Galaxy Nexus.
