Prince Harry Girlfriend Troubles: Single Royal Opens Up About ‘Finding Someone’ [VIDEO]
Prince Harry opened up about his girlfriend troubles in an interview during his 10-day trip for the Diamond Jubilee celebration for Queen Elizabeth II, saying struggles in finding someone willing to take on a royal challenge.
During a discussion with CBS, the interviewer asked 27-year-old Prince Harry is his royal status has been a fairytale to which he answered quite the contrary.
No, not at all. As any girl would ever tell you. It's sort of, 'Oh my God, he's a prince.' But no, Prince Harry said.
The question gave way to his current relationship status, having split from Chelsy Davy in 2010 and is now single.
The job that it entails - I mean look at me, I'm 27 years old, and not so much searching for someone to fulfill the role, but obviously, you know, finding someone that would be willing to take it on, Prince Harry told CBS.
According to The Telegraph, Prince Harry was introduced to a Victoria's Secret model in Brazil, who kissed him on the cheek, and Miss Bahamas, who wants to marry him.
Prince Harry admitted that often times it can be tough for a woman to acclimate to dating a royal, and sometimes he and his brother, William who was just married last year, wish they were normal.
There's a lot of times that both myself and my brother wish, obviously, that we were just completely normal, Prince Harry said. Me and my brother are very privileged in the position that we are, but with great privilege comes great responsibility.
However, Prince Harry sees the opportunity of being privileged to use his royal status for the better good, doing charitable work for the less fortunate. In fact, he started a charity in 2006, Sentebale, which helps children in Lesotho in Africa.
I get a huge buzz from spending time with kids, he told The Sun. Not just these kids in, but kids in general. Every time I spend time with kids, it's fantastic. You get this buzz. I'm still very much a kid inside myself. Spending time with them keeps me grounded. Obviously me being me, hopefully it has brought a certain amount of attention to a country that needs attention.
But according to Prince Harry, the children in Lesotho might not even know who he is.
As far as they're concerned, they haven't got a clue who I am, he said. They just think I'm a tall white guy who they can hang off of, and I can throw them around.
Prince Harry was on a solo tour for 10 days in the Caribbean and South America on behalf of his grandmother's Diamond Jubilee celebration. He is currently receiving advanced combat helicopter training.
