‘Hunger Games’ Star Jennifer Lawrence Hits April Covers As Hollywood’s New ‘It’ Girl [PHOTOS]

Jennifer Lawrence has officially been thrust into the limelight. The 21-year-old can no longer grab a coffee unnoticed or shop for groceries without her photo being snapped by looming paparazzi. The Hunger Games star is officially on Hollywood's radar and there is no turning back.

Although she received critical acclaim and even an Oscars nod for her performance in 2010's Winter's Bone, Jennifer Lawrence flew well under the radar. Now, with her box office smash-hit Hunger Games blowing up the charts and shattering records, anonymity is no longer an option for this young actress.

The blonde beauty made it onto the cover of eight April 2012 issues - including Glamour, Glamour UK, People, Parade, Seventeen, German Interview, IO, and Cosmopolitan Singapore.

Lawrence is surely on the precipice of superstardom. Her name has even been linked to rumored fights with the likes of Kristen Stewart, a fellow young starlet who took center stage for her role in the Twilight series.

Things like this tabloid war shouldn't stress me out, but it's kind of like being in high school when one friend says you said something bad about your other friend and you know you didn't say anything. It gives you a knot in your stomach, Jennifer Lawrence told the Detroit News. I'm afraid that's what it's always going to be like.

Now is not the time for Lawrence to be afraid. Hunger Games grossed $155 million in its opening weekend. Right now, she is in the middle of a tornado.

Anxiety should not affect Lawrence, who stumbled upon acting after a talent agency photographer snapped her photograph during a trip to New York. After her headshot landed on the desk of scouts, Lawrence tried her hand at auditions. I remember being in New York, reading a script and I completely understood it. I knew I could do it, Lawrence told the Detroit News. They were offering me contracts on the spot and telling my mom I was good. I was finally hearing I was good at something. I didn't want to give up on that.

Hunger Games director Gary Ross was flabbergasted by Jennifer Lawrence after she read for the role of Katniss Everdeen.

It was stunning to me, said Ross, who had Lawrence read the scene where she says goodbye to younger sister Prim. It's almost hard to characterize. It was a powerful performance, with such strength and clarity in it. She was being so strong for her sister at that moment, yet at the same time there was a layer of vulnerability under that. She showed so many different colors, so subtly, with such control, that it was really remarkable.
