?Modern Family? Sofia Vergara Single Again, Breaks Up with Boyfriend Nick Loeb

Sofia Vergara is now back on the market after splitting up with Nick Loeb, her boyfriend of two years. The 39-year old Colombian beauty attended Monday night's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala alone, after breaking up with Loeb over the weekend, reports The New York Post.

The actress reportedly got ready for the Met ball at a New York City hotel instead of Loeb's apartment, then went to the after party with friends. She is said to have confided in her friends about the split. An unnamed source revealed to the Post that Vergara's relationship with Loeb had been on the rocks.

Sofia was confiding in friends at the ball that she and Nick have split, the unnamed source told the Post. They have been fighting a lot recently and have been on the brink of splitting many times. It is not yet clear if they are over for good, but they are done as a couple for now.

Vergara met Loeb at the 2010 Golden Globe Party. Loeb, who considered running for the Florida State Senate last year, is the son of John Loeb Jr, a former U.S ambassador to Denmark who served under President Regan. He is also the grandson of one of the Lehman brothers.

Another source told the Post that Vergara and Loeb's relationship started crumbling under the pressure of her rapidly growing Hollywood fame and success. Among numerous projects, Vergara has worked as a runway model, the face of CoverGirl cosmetics, Saturday Night Live host, and plays Gloria Delgado-Prichett on hit show Modern Family.

At the S.A.G. awards in January, Vergara expressed that her fame was not a problem for the relationship.

He supports me, said Vergara told E! News' Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet. He's funny and laid back. He loves my career and loves coming with me to these events.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple was last photographed two weeks ago at the White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington D.C. and looked very happy. Other sources say last month the two were seen at a New York upper East Side restaurant, where Sofia looked beautiful, but she did not seem happy with him [Loeb] at all.
