Beyoncé and Jay-Z ‘Barely Speaking’ And Frustrated During 'On The Run' Tour: Report

Though they are presenting a united front amid reports of impending divorce, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s marriage may not be as solid as they are making it appear. The couple hasn’t shied away from showing affection on stage as they travel across the country on their joint “On the Run” tour. But Hollywood Life has a source saying the superstar couple’s interactions backstage have become increasingly cold.

“They are barely speaking to each other. After they perform they go off separately,” the source told Hollywood Life. “There’s a ton of tension, they’re not happy. It’s all for the cameras.”

Throughout their six-year marriage, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have remained closely guarded about the details of their union. But after the notorious video leaked of Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law in an elevator at the New York City’s Standard Hotel on May 5, reports began to surface about the marital issues plaguing the Knowles-Carters household.

Most recently, the New York Post's Page Six fueled the divorce talk when it released a report claiming that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are faking their happiness in public and will openly part ways once their national stadium tour is complete. “They are trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing. This is a huge concert tour, and they’ve already gotten most of the money from the promoters up front,” the source told Page Six.

Hollywood Life’s source added that the apparent reconciliation between Solange and Jay-Z is a sham as well, saying the trio's dinner at a New Orleans restaurant on July 22 was simply a PR stunt. “I have no clue why they ate with Solange, other than to all be photographed together. Bey and Solange are very close,” the source said.

The couple has reportedly been attending marriage counseling for the last few months. But a source speaking with the Daily Mirror of London said their sessions were focused on maintaining their bond as a couple, not fixing any marital issues. “It's about maintenance rather than trying to fix anything hugely wrong. They are both happy and their daughter, Blue Ivy, remains their absolute priority,” the source said.

In typical Knowles-Carter fashion, the couple has yet to comment on the rumors. And until they release an announcement about their decision to “consciously uncouple”-- if they’d even choose to make one at all -- we can continue to hold on to hope that Queen Bey and Jay are still crazy in love.
