  • The country singer got Stefani a custom-designed ring for their engagement

Blake Shelton has finally popped the big question to his longtime girlfriend and now fiancée Gwen Stefani and he is eager to marry her soon.

Shelton and Stefani have been together for five years already. Many have been looking forward to their big day, and that might be happing very soon, according to a source. The country singer is allegedly eager to walk down the aisle with Stefani after their engagement.

"Blake is just ready to be married and wants it to happen very soon," a source told Us Weekly.

"Don’t be surprised if it happens by the end of the year."

Shelton and Stefani both shared a snap of their engagement on Instagram. In the picture, Stefani is seen showing off her engagement ring while sharing a kiss with Shelton.

"Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020... And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!" Shelton wrote in the caption.

Stefani shared the same photo with the caption, "@blakeshelton yes please!"

Shelton's proposal to Stefani happened earlier this month in Oklahoma, said the same source. But another insider claimed the proposal actually happened just days before they shared the photo, and Shelton was very traditional that he even asked her dad's permission before he proposed to the "Hollaback Girl" hitmaker. He also bought her a custom-designed ring.

Shelton and Stefani spent the lockdown together in his home state with her three boys. In May, the pair purchased a $13.2 million mansion in the prime foothills of Encino in Los Angeles. The 13,000-square-foot property sits on a private 1.6-acre lot. It has three floors, a four-car garage, a state-of-the-art movie theater, and a large outdoor pool and spa. It also has a cabana with an outdoor kitchen and a wet bar.

The couple moved into their new family home last month. Their new place is "very warm and inviting with a lot of space for the boys to tumble around and get dirty,” according to an insider.

Shelton and Stefani met on the set of "The Voice" in 2015 and fell in love. At the time, both of them were also going through divorces from their previous spouses Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, respectively.
