Close on the heels of releasing his new song “Hell Right,” Blake Shelton has shared a video that takes the fans behind-the-scenes of making the music video. The country singer showed how he recorded the song in the studio, and he talked about how he developed the song when the idea first came to him.

Shelton’s pet dog was with him when he shot the behind-the-scenes video, which he shared on his Instagram page. The singer confirmed that his pet was there with him while he recorded every vocal for the new song, and he asked the dog to tell him if his singing sounded “weird.”

For the recording session that Shelton shared online, he was also joined by his girlfriend Gwen Stefani. The pop singer appeared to be impressed with her boyfriend’s performance, and she let it show on her face.

Talking about how inspired he was when he got the idea for the song, Shelton said that he was able to complete three-fourth portion of the song in one sitting when he first started to write it down. He knew immediately that he wanted to record the song, and he also knew that the right person to feature in it was Trace Adkins.

Adkins was able to deliver exactly what Shelton had envisioned him doing for the song. The “God’s Country” singer also complimented Adkins’ deep voice that was perfect for the song.

The official “Hell Right” song has been released on YouTube. The video has close to 8 million views as of this writing.

Shelton has been promoting the new song since last month, ahead of its release earlier this month. He shared a picture of him drinking a cup of vodka from his brand Smith Works on Labor Day weekend, and he asked the fans to raise “Hell Right” with the drink.
