Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Bobby Brown Tells Texas Concert His Daughter Is ‘Awake’
Bobbi Kristina Brown fans finally received some good news this weekend. Bobby Brown confirmed to the crowd at a Texas concert on Saturday night that his daughter was “awake.”
“I can say today … Bobbi is awake,” he told the audience at the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie. “She is watching me.”
TMZ obtained the footage, which you can watch HERE. Bobby’s update comes just a few weeks after he resumed performing. The 46-year-old was supposed to be touring with Treach and Kay-Gee of Naughty By Nature, however he canceled a handful of tour dates due to Bobbi Kristina’s hospitalization. Concert promoters reportedly pressured the singer to return and make up previously canceled shows. He made his first appearance at the Los Angeles Soul Food Festival on April 11 and gave attendees an update on his 22-year-old daughter.
“I wanna thank all of y’all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family, he said, according to People. “Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God.”
Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in a bathtub at her Atlanta home on Jan. 31. The aspiring singer and daughter of late Whitney Houston was placed in a medically induced coma due to swelling of the brain. She was moved to a rehab facility in March that could assist with long-term care.
