Update: 1:55 p.m.-- The Houstons and the Browns have released a statement regarding allegations they're preparing to say goodbye to Bobbi Kristina Brown. "There is no ‘family gathering’ today that is any different from any other day since [Bobbi Kristina] has been in the hospital. The family has been there since the weekend, so nothing any different today for them to be there than any other day. She is not brain dead, and the Houstons and the Browns are not fighting."

Original story:

Five days after Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta home and placed in a medically induced coma, her family is reportedly preparing to say goodbye. People magazine is reporting that the 21-year-old entertainer’s loved ones, including her father, Bobby Brown, are preparing for the worst after doctors concluded that nothing more could be done to save her.

“Everyone is coming to the hospital to say goodbye,” an unidentified “family member” told the magazine.

According to the source, Bobby Brown, 46, has been inconsolable since his daughter’s accident Jan. 31. On Tuesday, People reported that the swelling in Bobbi Kristina’s brain had gone down but that she was still “not reacting.” Brown was recently relocated to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Brown is the only child from the singer’s 15-year marriage to the late megastar Whitney Houston.

“Bobby has been crying nonstop since yesterday,” said the source. “We are grieving.”

TMZ is reporting that Brown is “hopeful” that his daughter can recover and is struggling with the idea of removing her from life support. “We’re told he’s refusing to make the painful choice today, and instead wants to wait until after the weekend,” the site reported Thursday. “We’re told Brown has been hopeful his daughter can beat the odds because someone in his extended family battled out of a coma after eight days.”

A second family insider shared similar findings with People. “It’s sinking in that this is it, but we are still praying that God will intervene and heal her body,” said the source, adding of their visit with Brown Wednesday night, “If you saw her, you’d think she was just sleeping.”
