Kawaki is set to attand a special exam organized by the Ninja Academy before he graduates as a genin in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 228.

The official synopsis of Episode 228 is out on TV Tokyo's website hinting at Kawaki's next mission that will ensure he becomes a genin. The Ninja Academy will be conducting an exam that is different from the usual one.

If Kawaki manages to complete a D-Rank mission, he will graduate with a new title. He immediately joins a team's ongoing mission but Kawaki is known for his problematic behavior. Moreover, he doesn't believe in teamwork.

During the mission, Kawaki acts irresponsibly, which almost derails the mission. His actions annoy his teammates, leaving them shocked.

In Episode 227 of the anime, Sarada became the captain of Team 7 and was assigned a new mission.

Mirai and Konohamaru were on a different mission. Mirai returned to the village in a terrible state and she reported how the simple mission had turned into a complex one.

Naruto and the others decided to send Team 7 as a backup for Konohamaru.
