Brad Pitt has gushed over his six kids in the past, but on Wednesday his was focused on his and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh, who celebrated her 14th birthday.

Although the Pitt and Jolie were involved in a bitter divorce and custody battle, the exes have been working on their issues with one another.

An insider told Entertainment Tonight that Pitt was excited about celebrating Shiloh’s birthday. “Brad is so proud of Shiloh and who she has become. He loves that she always stays true to herself and is so good to her brothers and sisters,” the insider explained.

“Brad’s kids are the most important thing to him. He tells his friends he learns so much about life from his own children,” the source added.

Although her parents don’t always see eye to eye, Shiloh has a special connection with her mother and father. “Shiloh is close to both of her parents. All the kids have been looking forward to Shiloh’s birthday and plan to celebrate with a birthday cake,” the insider revealed.

Even though Wednesday was a time of celebration for Pitt, the actor spends most days with his pal Alia Shawkat. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the two have been seeing each other more often.

The 31-year-old has reportedly been supporting Pitt throughout his divorce with Jolie. “They have an incredibly tight bond and trust each other implicitly. Alia’s been a wonderful help for Brad during this major transition,” a source previously told Us Weekly.

Meanwhile, a second insider revealed the prefer to keep their meetings lowkey. “They’ll order to-go food like burgers or pizza and just kick back for hours, or go for a drive down the coast,” the source explained.

“They’re hanging out plenty. They’re only about 10 minutes away from each other, so Alia will bike or walk to Brad’s place whenever they have time to chill. It’s all very organic and easy,” the source added.
