Brad Pitt’s kids were reportedly thrilled when they heard their dad giving them a huge shoutout at the Oscars.

A source told Hollywood Life that Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox thought that the shoutout was a sweet moment for everyone.

“The older they get the more they appreciate what incredible talents their parents are. They know they are blessed and lucky to have Brad as their dad. But at the end of the day, they’re still kids and he’s still just dad to them, not Brad Pitt the Oscar winner, they definitely keep his feet on the ground,” the source said.

Pitt won in the best supporting actor category for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.” After he accepted his trophy, Pitt said that his award is dedicated to his kids who color everything that he does.

Following the awards show, rumors swirled that Pitt will be hosting an Oscars party for his children. But the source said that celebrating with a huge party isn’t really Pitt’s style.

“When Brad is with his kids his mind is on them, not himself and not his career. He is solely focused on them and connecting with them where they’re at,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband skipped the BAFTAs earlier this month to spend time with his estranged son Maddox. Sources revealed that the father and son’s relationship improved after they met.

A source told In Touch Weekly that Maddox finally forgave Pitt four years after he and Jolie divorced. Prior to the couple’s announcement, reports revealed that Pitt and Maddox got into an altercation on the plane.

Since then, Maddox has refused to talk to his dad. But after returning to the United States following a short break from school, the 18-year-old finally agreed to reunite with the “Ad Astra’ star.

As of late, Jolie has not reacted to the reports.
