The Meeting of Traditional Cultures of Chapada dos Veadeiros in Goias in the center of Brazil is a celebration of Brazilian popular culture and the intersection between the various manifestations of traditional culture around the mid-west and across the country.

The festival, which runs from July 22-30 in the multi-ethnic village of Goias, has been around for 11 years now, with each year providing a new chance for strangers and friends to come together to gather, share meals, preform ritual dances, sing traditional songs and celebrate the interactions of their different cultures. The celebration allows people to appreciate the different aspects of their traditional culture that have been interpreted many different ways.

The festival brings together men and women, young and old, new school and old school, all with the understanding and intention to learn and grow from their interactions with each other.
