Game developer Treyarch is reportedly planning to introduce as many as eight remastered maps to “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” over the next few seasons.

The information came from “Call of Duty” insider TheMW2Ghost who shared the details on Twitter. According to him, there might be one or two remade maps appearing in every season of “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” from here on out. He stated in his tweet that he has been told that eight more remake maps are planned for the game following Express.

If the insider’s information is accurate, there is a chance that then players can expect the new maps would arrive from Season 2 until Season 5. Unfortunately, the insider did not reveal which maps are in development for the “Black Ops Cold War.” There is a chance that “Black Ops” series maps like Hanoi, Breach, and Standoff could be among the leaked eight remastered maps, Dexerto speculates.

“CoD” series players are looking forward to seeing some notable maps in “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.” This includes Grid, Hijacked, and Fringed, to name a few. As per Gamerant, there is a chance that Firing Range might get a rework. Last December, Dexerto conducted a poll on the fan-favorite maps that players would like to see in the new “CoD” title.

The iconic “Black Ops 2” map Standoff gained 44.6% of the total votes, the site reported. Other maps like Hijacked, Firing Range, and Summit are among the top choices for potential remasters that players want. There are several classic maps in the series that developers introduced in other “CoD” titles.

This includes the Nuketown map, which has been featured five times. The Firing Range has also been featured in various “CoD” games four times. Meanwhile, Jungle and Summit have appeared three times over the series while Slums has appeared across the “Call Of Duty” franchise twice.

Although the insider is a reliable source of information and has a proven track record in the community, fans should temper their expectations since the information is not official. Fans should take this new set of details about “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” with a pinch of salt.
