Activision will not show off its next "Call of Duty" game at the all-virtual E3 2021 next week. However, the video game publisher might have some exciting plans for the game and for "Call of Duty: Warzone."

The next "Call of Duty" title, reportedly called "Call of Duty: Vanguard," will not be at the E3 2021 event. Activision has reportedly chosen to announce its next first-person shooter title in the summer, according to Video Game Chronicle (VGC). The report speculated the announcement would most likely be done through an in-game event in "Call of Duty: Warzone," like it did with "Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War."

"Call of Duty: Vanguard" is allegedly in development at Sledgehammer Games' studio, and is scheduled to release in November 2021. The next premium "Call of Duty" title is anticipated to launch on previous generation and new generation gaming consoles, as well as on PC. The site also revealed more exciting news about the game, which is related to "Warzone."

Apparently, Activision intends to introduce a totally new "Call of Duty: Warzone" map. The site claimed it is the franchise's biggest and most ambitious map, by far. It also noted the team planned to launch this new map in the battle royale game to coincide with the release of "Call of Duty: Vanguard."

Adding more details to this massive map, the report revealed it is set in the "Pacific theater" of the second World War. It is believed to be remarkably larger than the current map environment of Verdansk.

For the uninitiated, "Call of Duty: Vanguard" is rumored to feature a campaign -- zombies and multiplayer components. The game is reportedly set in the European and pacific areas during the Second World War. Moreover, the game is believed to center on the creation of the modern Allied Special Forces.

It is worth noting that unlike other leaks and rumors, VGC's "Call of Duty" sources are reliable and its leaks were proven accurate. However, since this is not official information, fans should temper their expectations and take this information as highly speculative at this stage.

"Call of Duty: Vanguard" is currently in development.
