  • "Call of Duty: Warzone" Season 2 Reloaded is now live
  • The game is rumored to rmget a new map in Season 3
  • Activision has not said anything about this rumored "Warzone" map

"Call of Duty: Warzone" has long been rumored to get a new map and a recently leaked video seemingly supports this claim. There is no official confirmation that the battle royale title is indeed getting a new map or that the current Verdansk map would be replaced. However, just a few hours after the video went viral, Activision reportedly issued takedown notices.

The first video leak of the rumored new "Call of Duty: Warzone" map was shared on Twitter earlier and reported by VGC. The site confirmed that the footage showing some spots in the 1980s version of Verdansk is authentic. Apparently, this new map will replace the current "Warzone" map at the end of this season.

The arrival of the rumored new map would be transitioned by an in-game event anticipated to happen on April 22. The leaked footage is a part of a live-action ad and shows a few Cold War Era landmarks in some points of interest in Verdansk. This includes an underground mine shaft, an aqueduct, an under-construction stadium and a huge radar.

Based on the leaked footage, it looks like the rumored new "Call of Duty: Warzone" map would be an evolution of Verdansk instead of a totally new designed map as previously speculated. Over the past weeks, fans have been speculating that the merger of "Warzone" and "Black Ops Cold War" would introduce a Cold War-themed map. While this footage does not officially confirm anything, it offers something that players could look forward to.

Unfortunately, the leaked footage did not last long online. CharlieIntel reports that Activision issued a DMCA notice over the video. The site claims that the video runs for a minute and features celebrities on a helicopter flying around the "Call of Duty Warzone" Verdansk map.

There is still one available on Reddit but it might not stick around for long. There are also some low-resolution images captured by VGC from the Twitter post for those who haven't seen the video.

"Call of Duty: Warzone" received its Season 2 Reloaded patch. The new update introduces a lot of new additions in the battle royale title.
