Pippa Middleton first got the world talking when she helped her sister, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, walk down the aisle to wed Prince William, but now it’s Pippa’s turn to steal the show. While Kate’s nuptials to William were a lavish affair Westminster Abbey, Pippa has chosen to take a more demure rote.

An estimated 2 billion people in over 180 countries watched Kate say “I do” April 29, 2011, according to The Telegraph. Pippa served as her maid of honor. While millions of people will likely want to see Pippa’s marriage to fiancé James Mathew, it’s unclear if there will be live stream footage of the event, or if it will be televised.

As stated earlier, Pippa wants a more modest wedding than her sister. She is slated to get married at Mark's Church in Englefield, which is her family’s church, on May 20, The Express wrote in April. The ceremony will take place at a mansion in Bucklebury, Berkshire. Her nephew and niece, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will serve as page boy and flower girl.

Even though Pippa was Kate’s maid of honor, the duchess probably won’t fulfill the role for her sister. If she were the maid of honor, she might steal some of Pippa’s spotlight.

“If your sister is a future Queen, she is going to upstage the bride and draw attention. Kate would want to be in the background as much as possible,” Royal author Judy Wade told People Magazine in July.

“Kate would upstage her sister,” the author continued. “It’s a tricky situation for Pippa. She would want her sister by her side, as who else would she trust to make things go well?”

Famous guests, in addition to Kate and William, will reportedly be Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Ben Fogle and Roger Federer.

For some, it might be a surprise that Markle is attending the nuptials. She enacted the “no ring, no bring” rule, which means a guest cannot bring a date if he or she is not married to the person. Markle and Prince Harry are only dating, but Pippa reportedly extended a personal invite to the “Suits” star. In anticipation of the nuptials, Markle went for two dress fittings, E! Online reported Monday.

As for Pippa’s dress, a source told E! Online Thursday she chose a design that is “very simple, elegant and it's all handmade.” The insider added: “Very few people have seen the finished thing.”

The name of the designer was not revealed. In April, British fashion designer Giles Deacon refused to divulge details about Pippa’s dress.

“I can never really comment on rumors,” he told HELLO! Fashion. “Until things are confirmed, it's just rumors.”

She’s reportedly had to have the dress taken in multiple times over the past six months because she lost weight, E! Online wrote. She supposedly took a Pilates class for more than a half hour at an exclusive fitness center and private club KX Gym in Chelsea.
