Celebrity Death Hoaxes 2017: Trevor Noah Latest Victim, Responds To 'Fake News'

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah became the latest victim of celebrity death hoaxes in 2017 after reports surfaced that he was shot dead while greeting his fans after a concert. The news was first circulated by a website called Houston News on Monday.
Noah responded to the hoax on his Twitter account by sharing a screenshot of the website's page that carried the news of his "fake" death.

According to Gossip Cop, which debunked the rumors of Noah's death, Houston News detailed the alleged incident when the host was attacked.
"It was a two-gunned stranger — possibly a deranged fan — who murdered the South African king of comedy Trevor Noah as he signed autographs after a night concert in Orlando," Houston News wrote. The website also detailed incidents that were closely related to Christina Grimmie's death. Grimmie was fatally shot last June after a concert in Orlando, Florida. The 22-year-old singer was at the Plaza Live Theater in Orlando for a meet-and-greet, when an obsessed fan shot her twice before taking his own life.
This is not the first time Noah became a victim of a death hoax. In March, a fake news claimed the South African comedian died after being injured in a car accident.
“His vehicle hit a patch of water outside Potchefstroom and the car aquaplaned and hit a light standard. Noah sustained internal injuries and died at the spot,” the fake news report said at the time, according to Gossip Cop. “The comedian’s passing has left a massive hole in the industry… He will be sorely missed by his peers and the public and our sincerest condolences go out to his family.”
Here is a list of other celebrities who became victims of death hoaxes this year.

3. Clint Eastwood: In June, a report claimed the Hollywood legend died after being found unresponsive at his home.
