Hope you’re in the mood for popcorn and jelly beans because that’s what’s on this Thanksgiving menu! Our favorite Peanuts will reunite at the dinner table this November when Charlie Brown and the gang celebrates the national holiday in Charles M. Schulz’s “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.”

The Emmy Award-winning cartoon, which first premiered on the CBS network in November 1973, is set to air on ABC Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. EST -- so make sure you mark you calendars and tune in to the animated classic!

The TV special, directed by Phil Roman and Bill Melendez, tells the heartwarming story of everyone’s favorite blockhead as he attempts to whip up a delicious -- and last-minute -- Thanksgiving party for his friends. Charlie Brown is tasked with hosting the holiday dinner after his pushy friend, Peppermint Patty, invites herself (along with two others) to “Chuck’s” house for a festive dinner despite Charlie Brown having already made Thanksgiving plans with his grandmother.

With minimal cooking-skills, Charlie Brown looks to Chef Snoopy and his Sous chef Woodstock to cater the special engagement. But when the Peanuts arrive to the dinner table, they find an assortment of odd helpings consisting of toast, pretzels, popcorn and jelly beans.

Disappointed with her meal, Patty lashes out on Charlie Brown for his lame attempt at a Thanksgiving feast.

“What kind of Thanksgiving dinner is this?” she says to him in the animated series. “Where's the turkey, Chuck? Don't you know anything about Thanksgiving dinners? Where's the mashed potatoes? Where's the cranberry sauce? Where's the pumpkin pie?”

After her demeaning rant, Chuck leaves the dinner table feeling embarrassed. But a few moments later, Patty shows up at his door to apologize (thanks to a nudge from Marcie). Charlie Brown accepts Patty’s plea but soon remembers that he’s late for his original plans with him grandmother. The installment ends with Charlie Brown inviting his hungry friends to join him for a traditional Thanksgiving meal at his grandmother's while Snoopy and Woodstock stuff themselves silly with turkey and pumpkin pie.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will air Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
