“Chicago P.D.” is back after a short hiatus on NBC this week with a new episode that focuses on Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer). So far, Season 4 has had episodes that heavily featured Jay’s live-in girlfriend Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush), Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and even Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) but not Halstead.

According to the official synopsis of Season 4, episode 13, the body of a 15-year-old girl will be found crushed in an abandoned building. She had run away from a treatment center for troubled girls.

Voight sends Halstead undercover as a guard inside the center in order to find out what is happening in the facility. He believes that the girls are trading sexual favors for something in return.

The promo of the upcoming episode, titled “I Remember Now,” shows Halstead comforting and reassuring a young teenage girl that he will protect her and she can trust him. There are bruises and mysterious marks all over her neck. The action-packed hour is filled with suspense as Halstead tries his best to get information and protect the girls living in the center. Soon, he learns that there is a conspiracy brewing inside the treatment center.

Interestingly, the murder victim was actually brought into the District last year but Desk Sergeant Platt doesn’t remember her. She feels guilty for not remembering who she is and not helping her last year.

Voight will try his best to assuage Platt’s guilt. The two will share a heart-to-heart talk in “Chicago P.D.” Season 4.

Nick Wechsler will star in the episode as newbie Kenny Rixton and Barbara Eve Harris returns as Commander Emma Crowley. Also starring in this episode is Patrick John Flueger as Officer Adam Ruzek and Marina Squerciati as Officer Kim Burgess.

“Chicago P.D.” returns on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
