NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” premiered an intense Season 4 episode this week in which Desk Sergeant Trudy Platt was brutally assaulted. Amy Morton, who plays the gruff character, delivered a stellar performance throughout episode 3. Although the story wasn’t very engaging, the actors in the police procedural ensured that fans experienced an emotional and action-packed hour.

What will happen in “Chicago P.D.” Season 4, episode 4? According to the official synopsis on NBC, the team will deal with a shooting outside a concert. This shooting leads to several incidents of gang-related violence.

The upcoming episode kicks off with a car plowing through a crowd of concert-goers. It’s a good thing that detectives Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) arrive on the scene soon because gunfire erupts.

Meanwhile, Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) quickly does what is needed to find the perpetrator of the attack. He is unsure of the motive and has concerns that a terrorist group might be responsible for the incidents. He orders the Homeland security, the FBI and customs to help him with the case.

“Chicago P.D.” Season 4, episode 4, titled “Big Friends Big Enemies,” will also see Patrol Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) spot Officer Kevin Atwater’s (LaRoyce Hawkins) brother, Jordan (Ahmad Nicholas Ferguson), somewhere he shouldn’t be.

The entire police department comes together and reaches out to their contacts within Chicago to get information and bring some peace to the residents before more blood is shed.

As usual, Voight isn’t shy to get his hands dirty. The trailer for Season 4, episode 4 shows Voight meeting a man at a bar and threatening him. He tells the man that he isn’t afraid to come after his family if he refuses to supply information.
