‘A Christmas Together With You’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

Hallmark Channel’s very merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “A Christmas Together With You.” The film, starring Laura Vandervoort, Niall Matter, Harry Lennix and Liza Huget, premieres Saturday night.

The film is sure to be a treat for Hallmark fans, as it follows double the romance storylines and gives viewers a mix of stars who are either Hallmark vets or newbies. While fans will certainly recognize Matter, who has starred in the “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries” movies, as well as “Never Kiss A Man in a Christmas Sweater,” “Country at Heart,” “Christmas in Dollywood” and “Marrying Father Christmas,” Vandervoort is newer, having only starred in “Playing Cupid” previously.

Similarly, Huget is also likely familiar for roles in “A Christmas Tree Grows in Colorado,” “A Christmas Duet” and “A Summer Romance,” while Lennix, who recently starred as Harold Cooper on “The Blacklist,” is new to the network.

So what will happen in the film? Let’s find out.

“When widower Frank (Lennix) finds a picture of his first love, Claire (Huget), his young friend Megan (Vandervoort), proprietor of the café he frequents, convinces him to go on a road trip to track her down,” a synopsis reads. “Though reluctant, Frank agrees to the trip when he sees it might help Megan recover from her recently broken engagement.”

After setting off on the adventure, the two begin to open up to one another, and along the way, they also have an awkward encounter with a man and his dog—something that Megan can’t shake off. In addition, their initial search for Claire is a bust, but the two remain determined to find her.

“Not deterred from their search, they stay at a nearby lodge where a surreptitious clue ultimately leads the pair to Claire,” the synopsis reads. “However, when they don’t get the reception they expected, the story of how Frank’s first love ended slowly reveals itself.”

In addition, Megan soon learns the man she had the awkward encounter with is the lodge’s owner, Steve (Matter), and she also finds her broken heart starting to heal. However, both she and Frank will decide that there is more work to do if they are going to help him get his happy ending.

“As Megan helps Frank pursue a second chance at love and he reminds her not to give up on her dreams or her heart, these unlikely friends find that sometimes the closest family is the kind we make,” the synopsis concludes.

“A Christmas Together With You” airs Saturday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
