The Power Five conference championship games are scheduled for this weekend, and they will play a large role in determining the College Football Playoff field for the 2022 season. The Big 12 and Pac-12 Championship Games, in particular, have the biggest playoff implications.

No. 1 Georgia will play in the SEC Championship Game, and No. 2 Michigan is scheduled to play in the Big Ten Championship Game. Both teams are favored to win their matchups and expected to make the CFP, regardless of Saturday's outcomes.

No. 3 TCU and No. 4 USC seem to control their CFP fate. A Big 12 Championship for TCU should put the Horned Frogs in the playoffs. If USC clinches the Pac-12 title, the Trojans are expected to be one of the four teams that can compete for the college football national championship.

A victory for either team is far from guaranteed. TCU and USC are only slight betting favorites, according to the latest betting odds. If one or both fail to win the conference title, their spot in the CFP could be taken by a team that is sitting at home this weekend.

No. 5 Ohio State is waiting for one of the favorites to lose a Power Five conference championship game. The Buckeyes were expected to make the playoffs before being upset by Michigan.

There's a good chance that TCU could survive a loss and still make the playoffs because of its perfect regular-season record. USC, on the other hand, would likely be replaced by Ohio State in the CFP field if the Trojans don't win the Pac-12 championship.

No. 9 Clemson is favored to win the ACC Championship Game. The two-loss Tigers are probably unable to climn their way into the CFP field, even with a conference title.
