CBS’ “Criminal Minds” came back after two long weeks today. The Season 12 episode showed the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) hunt an Unsub that left a string of bodies along the Appalachian Trail. Fans watched as Emily Prentiss settled in and Penelope Garcia started warming up to the team’s newest member, Luke Alvez.

What will happen in “Criminal Minds” next week?

The BAU will take on an interesting case in Season 12, episode 5, titled “The Anti-Terrorism Squad.” They will investigate the murders of two families. However, the case takes an unexpected turn when the killings are related to high school bullies.

According to the synopsis (via SpoilerTV), both families had one sole survivor. In each murder, the family was killed but one person escaped the clutches of the murderer. The team starts to look at these survivors and wonders whether they are telling the truth. They also realize that bullying might play a role in this case. Could it be that these high school students killed their own families? Were they bullied to kill their parents?

The promo of Season 12, episode 5 shows Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) stumbling on some key evidence. “I’m seeing the tip of a really big iceberg,” she says.

We still don’t know how Hotch (Thomas Gibson) will be written off in the CBS series. The only thing we know is that he is available for consultation while he’s on temporary duty. However, no BAU member gave him a call on a case so far. Will his temporary job become a permanent one?

It also remains to be seen who will replace Hotch’s position as team leader. Right now, Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and Rossi (Joe Mantegna) are sharing his duties together.
