Prince Charles in “The Crown” Season 4 is turning out to be the “villain” of the season, and fans of the show took their opinions of him to social media after the premiere Sunday night.

In Season 3 of the Netflix original, Prince Charles came across as likeable. He was working towards becoming the Prince of Wales and gave a speech in Welsh to his future people. Most viewers grew a liking for him by the end of the season, but it seems to be a different story this time around.

Season 4 introduces Princess Diana, and viewers get to see the timeline of Charles and Diana’s relationship, from 1977 until 1992, when they decided to split up.

From the beginning of their relationship, it was obvious Charles wanted nothing to do with Diana, but he needed to find a well-qualified wife to become a princess. The royal family loved her even though Charles continuously called her a child and made passive and rude remarks about her.

Viewers also get to see the behind the scenes look throughout the series of Charles’ continuous affair with the married Camilla Shand and the damage it did to Diana.

Instead of seeing a caring and loving Charles as they did in Season 3, fans are now seeing different side of him as the show delves deep into the marriage and life of Charles and Diana.

At one point, Charles is even seen spending time in his own mansion away from Diana and his new children while he is living a double life with his mistress, and that’s only one scene of his “evilness.”

While some royal family fans already know the ins and outs of this real-life story, some viewers of the Netflix series are just now finding out about the rocky relationship between the prince and princess.

Twitter users are upset to learn Charles disrespected the princesses of all princesses throughout their marriage.

Viewers of "The Crown" are in for a wild ride as the royal family’s life will be on full display in upcoming episodes.
