Darren Young Gay: WWE Wrestler 'Deeply In Love' With Boyfriend 'Nick,' Sources Say [PHOTO]

Just one day after Darren Young unexpectedly announced to a cameraman that he is gay, WWE sources close to the wrestler say he is also “deeply in love” with his boyfriend.

Young, whose real name is Fredrick Rosser, has reportedly told WWE officials that he is “deeply in love” with his boyfriend of two years, WWE sources told TMZ. So far, Young’s boyfriend has been identified only as “Nick.”

Although the sources did not reveal the identity of Young’s boyfriend beyond his first name, TMZ obtained a picture of the couple, which can be viewed on its website. Young and “Nick” have reportedly been living together in Florida “for some time now.” The WWE sources added that “Nick” was “the driving force” behind Young’s decision to come out, TMZ reports.

Young, 29, revealed that he is gay in a Wednesday interview with TMZ, stunning the website’s cameraman. When asked if he believed that a gay wrestler could succeed in the WWE, Young decided to announce that it had already happened.

“Absolutely,” he told TMZ’s cameraman. “Look at me. I’m a WWE superstar and to be honest with you, right now, I’ll tell you I’m gay and I’m happy. Very happy.”

The surprise announcement revealed Young to be the WWE’s first openly gay wrestler, as well as the first wrestler to come out while still signed to a major wrestling organization. “Some people might not like it, some people will like it. … But I’m here to be happy,” he told TMZ. It’s very important I’m happy with myself."

WWE superstar John Cena was quick to express support for Young’s decision. “Oh wonderful,” Cena told TMZ regarding Young’s announcement. “I know Darren personally. Darren’s a great guy. That’s a very bold move for him. And congratulations for him for actually finally doing it.”
