  • Ehrich said that he was shooting a biopic when he learned about the breakup
  • Another report claimed that Lovato already informed Ehrich that their relationship was coming to an end

Max Ehrich, known for being a part of the hit TV series “The Young and The Restless,” did not expect to learn about his split from ex-fiancé and singer Demi Lovato from a tabloid.

The 28-year-old star finally broke his silence and addressed the issue in one of his Instagram Stories, Page Six reported. The actor took to social media and claimed that he had no idea his romance with Lovato was over until he read the report about it.

In his social media post, Ehrich wrote that he got to know about his breakup through a tabloid while he was busy shooting a biopic about a Pastor.

“Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid. While your (sic) in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people,” Page Six quoted Ehrich, as saying.

However, another report has claimed that the “Sorry Not Sorry” hitmaker had already told Ehrich that their relationship was coming to an end and the news would soon be out in the media.

“Demi made Max aware that the relationship was over and it was going to come out in the press,” People quoted the source, as saying.

His comments come a few days after an insider told People that the two have decided to break up and call off their engagement after failing to make their relationship work.

“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers. They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together,” the source told the publication.

The singer and the actor made their first appearance together when Lovato suddenly emerged in Ehrich’s Instagram Live in March 2020. Since then, the duo was seen together on numerous occasions. They also appeared in Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s “Stuck With U” music video.

The couple announced their engagement in July and shared a cute photo to mark the occasion.

“I knew I loved you the moment I met you. love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!!!!” Lovato wrote along with the photo.
