It was suppose to be one of the biggest feuds that hip-hop has ever seen: Rap's biggest current star, Drake, versus "Rap God" Eminem. But now, reports that claimed Eminem was gearing up to diss Drake have been denied.

On Wednesday morning, Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden detailed a private conversation he had with Drake which suggested that an Eminem diss track was on its way.

“I told Drake I heard the rumour was that Eminem was gonna gear up to come after him,” said Ebro. “And [Drake] laughed, and he said, ‘That’s not gonna happen. He’ll never do that. And if he did I got something for him, too.'”

But now, according to Ebro, it was all a joke. Darden later took to Twitter to explain his prank, calling it a "joke" that "people ran with." Darden also said he was only talking in "jest" when he spoke about the supposed beef.

A feud between the two seemed odd, seeing as the rappers previously appeared on the 2009 song "Forever" together. Also, when it comes to rap beefs, Drake likes to choose his battles and has never gone against hip-hop greats such as Jay Z or Pusha T.

While the Eminem-Drake beef is fake, Drake's latest feud with Joe Budden is real. After taking offense to Budden's critique of his album "Views," Joe Budden unleashed three diss tracks aimed at Drake back in June and July.

Although Drake has yet to explicitly respond to Budden, in his latest song with French Montana, Drizzy took a supposed shot at Budden.

"Pump, pump, pump it up / She got a good head on her, but I pump it up / I'm not a one-hit wonder, they know all my stuff," raps Drake on "No Shopping." " You let me turn into the n----- that you almost was I done seen a lot of s--- and I done been in things."
